What does a psychological assessment involve?

Are assessments conducted in person or remotely?

Assessments may be conducted in person or remotely, depending on the nature of the case and the information required. The most appropriate format for the assessment can be discussed at the point of instruction.

How long does an expert report take?

The time required to complete an expert report depends on the complexity of the case and the volume of documentation to be reviewed. Typical timeframe is between 2 and 4 weeks from the time of the assessment. Urgent timeframes can be considered.  

What information is required to instruct an expert?

In most cases, the instructing solicitor will provide a letter of instruction together with relevant documentation relating to the case. This may include medical records, case records and other relevant reports.
